The Francescan Empire is a sovereign nation encompassing a pair of nations in personal union with the House of Laurierville-Saint-Leonard. The origins of one of them, the Oriental Principality of Lower Isturus, date back to the Sovereign Historiographic Administration of Salaquia and Voiqila. The Atlian Empire signed a Treaty of Mutual Recognition with Lower Isturus in October 2023, and then another with the United Kingdom of Elizabury, Forsteri and Transaintcroix in January 2024, where it was agreed to have an embassy to the Court of Dearmad-Otillicaries.
After reforms to the imperial house, Laurierville-Saint-Leonard was officially renamed on 24 July, 2024 with the coronation of Charles XI and Adelaide V; Likewise, nomenclatures changed, such as Lower Isturus to the Auguric Republic of Isturus and the Voiqila and the United Kingdom of Elizabury, Forsteri and Transaintcroix to the Viceroyalty of Francesca.
