The King claims for the Imperial Family a new ceremonial claim

In an unexpected action, His Imperial and Royal Majesty, King Geronimo II, claimed a beach as Imperial Atlian Territory, being a ceremonial claim under the administration of the Imperial Throne, without being part of a specific nation. The Prince-Regent has declared to CTAVA that it is planned to turn Geronimia into an Ecological Reserve.

Background

Since the creation of the Empire, only one Imperial Atlian Territory (IAT) had been created. Said Imperial Atlian Territory, the Imperial Atlian Antarctic Territory, was claimed from the beginning of February 2023, not being made official in the Constitution of the Empire until Imperial Proclamation #9, on 01/JUN/2023.

The Annexation

On 20/JULY/2023, Their Imperial and Royal Majesties were on vacation in the Mexican Riviera Maya, when they took a trip to the Island of Tamalcab; there, an uninhabited island, opened the opportunity for the King to write Atlia's name in the sand (in the absence of a physical flag), thus reclaiming the site where they landed in the name of the Atlian Crown. It was not until today, 23/JUL/2023, that the Office of the Prince-regent made His Imperial and Royal Majesty's action public.
