Nova Atlium - 21/SEP/2023

Delegations from four Mexican micronations (with one to be confirmed) and a foreign observer will meet virtually in Nova Atlium through a video call to celebrate the First Summit of Mexican Micronationalism, organized by Atlia, with the mission of generating greater rapprochement between Mexican micronations, as well as debate and agree on the bases of a "Mexican micronational theory", trying to answer questions such as the definition of a Mexican micronation and the standards that should be expected of one.

Delegations from Atlia, Geronia, Smyrna, Nisea and El Dorado will meet via a Zoom video call next Saturday, 30 September in a summit expected to last approximately two hours.

The Summit agenda will be published in a few days, on 23 September, after being shared with the attendees through official means between the Empire and the attendees.

CTAVA presents a brief interview with H.I. & R.H. Prince Luis Marcel, organizer of the Summit, who speaks about it.

CTAVA: Why organize a summit of Mexican micronationalism, especially at this point in the year?

PLM: The summit has been in plans for several months, in fact, I put it on the table to several micronational partners in Mexico, with a vague idea of what it could be. My vision has always been to see a Spanish-speaking Mexican micronational community as interconnected and diverse as the English-speaking one on Twitter. It was not until last August when I decided to finalize the plans for the summit, and by the time the promotion began, we were already in September, which coincides with the national month in Mexico and I thought it was very appropriate for the summit, although there was still the possibility that it would take place in October.

CTAVA: What do you hope to achieve with this Summit of Mexican Micronationalism?

PLM: Mainly create a first approach to several of the Mexican micronations in the Spanish-speaking "Twittersphere" with each other, and from there be able to establish communication channels with each other, and from there open the possibility of cooperating on the same fronts. As well, based on the debate that is planned, we will be able to create concrete background and texts for the basis of a nascent Mexican micronational theory, which will determine standards made by us, which, although they could be inspired by those of the English-speaking community, may be agreed and adopted by the Mexican region.

CTAVA: Do you plan to organize more summits in the future?

PLM: I would certainly like to see more of these summits, as well as seeing the number of attendees grow. I am certain that there are more Mexican micronations that we have not contacted yet, and I hope in an eventual Second Summit of Mexican Micronationalism to be able to count on their assistance, as well as several Spanish-speaking micronations as observers, so that diplomatic expansion and development is not only between nations of the Mexican region, if not also from the Mexican region to other parts of the Spanish-speaking community.
