South Longhorn - 09/AUG/2025
[The Imperial Ministry of Defence communicates] the Atlian withdrawal of the southern occupation zone within Friendship and Unity Square in Longhorn, Adonia, effective immediately. - Excerpt from the Imperial Ministry of Defense's statement on the subject.
An Adonian state as such has not existed de facto for nearly two years; a matter abandoned following A. Franson's departure from the micronational community. However, with Franson's own permission, the Chausalantique-allied nations involved in the Adonia peacekeeping mission, which sought the reestablishment of an Adonian state with Franson in power, have finally been able to achieve their goal, albeit with an unexpected result: Adonia is divided into three separate states, and Franson has minimal, if any, influence on the development of the new Adonian nations.
BACKGROUND
Following TIMUS (The Intermicronational Unity Summit), which was organized by the People's Republic of Adonia under A. Franson, the micronation entered a period of significant inactivity, given Franson's academic focus at the time and the apathy of the then Adonian citizens. Thus, on 16/APR/2023, Adonia was declared dissolved, with the founding the People's Confederation of Issavyre by Franson.
This change became unpopular among Adonia's allies, as since the founding of Issavyre, Franson had devoted even less time to the nation, and the name change was even declared "illegal" by the North Sea Empire. Thus, in early July 2023, Franson himself requested support from the Chausalantique Community, specifically Atlia, the NSE, and the Maritime States, to help reestablish a stable Adonian state. However, Franson would abandon the micronational community not long after, freezing the efforts of said Chausalantique military operation, and even coming to be considered finished and forgotten as the months passed.
END OF THE MILITARY OPERATION IN ADONIA
On 07/AUG/2025, in a casual conversation between Grand Duke Otto I of Misberia, Mr. A. Franson, and Prince Luis Marcel of Atlia, the topic of the Chausiatic military intervention in Adonia arose. Since it had not officially ended, Franson, after insistence from the Atlian and Misberian leaders, agreed to end the intervention, accepting the creation of new Adonian states in the former places occupied by the micronational empires, although none with his blessing in particular to be considered the legitimate successor to the Adonia he founded in 2020. Grand Duke Otto I of Misberia founded the Socialist Republic of Inner Adonia; while the Atlian Empire established the People's Republic of Nueva Adonia.
A. Franson has stated that he will not take part in the management or development of any of the new Adonias.

AND THE NORTH SEA EMPIRE'S OCCUPATION ZONE?
At the time of writing this article, the government of the North Sea Empire has not yet commented on the end of its military occupation of Adonia; some observers might even consider the Norse area abandoned; although the North Sea Emperor and High King of Hrafnarfjall, Thomas I, has recently commented in public spaces about his interest in following the example of Atlia and the Grand Duke of Misberia in founding a "North Adonia."
THE FUTURE OF THE ADONIAS
As of today, both nascent nations declare themselves the legitimate successors of the People's Republic of Adonia/People's Confederation of Issavyre; Inner Adonia claims the former territories of the Adonian communes; while Nueva Adonia maintains more of the Friendship and Unity Square than Inner Adonia, as well as ceremonially claiming territory in Chiapas, Mexico that A. Franson would have liked to have in Adonia back then.
There are plans between the leaders of both states, Otto of Misberia and Luis Marcel of Atlia, to define the Adonian legacy through a treaty in the coming weeks and establish guidelines for peaceful coexistence free of disputes regarding the legitimacy of their existence as Adonia. It is expected that the North Sea Empire will eventually join the treaty talks to also define the future of the area occupied by the NSE.
