Atlia starts 2022 with great activity

The Atlia government had its winter vacation period between the 18 December 2021 and the 8 January of this year. During this period, various issues were added to the agenda of the Council of Representatives and the Executive Office. Nine days after the resumption of functions, Atlia has fulfilled a variety of pending issues, which are detailed below:

Annual Plan 2022

The Annual Plan for Atlia 2022 was drawn up by the Prince-Regent at the beginning of the month, it was approved without any criticism by the Council of Representatives on 08/JAN/22.

The Annual Plan for Atlia 2022 includes goals such as:

• Consolidate the Constitution.

• Sign the Act of the Atlian Union.

• Activate the Office of Ecology.

• Establish well the Royal Atlian Institute of Languages.

• Celebrate the fifth anniversary of Atlia.

As well as continue with the uncompleted goals of 2021; among other goals. The document can be found in the Royal Library of Atlia, here.

Cessation of diplomacy with inactive nations

The Office of Foreign Relations published a statement on 08/JAN/22, through Document No. 1 of the Office of Foreign Relations; by which he announced the official termination of diplomatic relations with the nations of the Kingdom of the United Counties (Rabbistan), the Kingdom of Glynawan, the United Confederation of Carpathia and the Republic of Pølmonia. The reason being that the aforementioned nations could be considered extinct due to their considerable absence in dialogue with the Kingdom of Atlia.

The declaration was accepted by a majority of the Council of Representatives.

Diplomatic growth

Atlia has maintained a policy of diplomatic isolation since 20/APR/21, with the publication of the Royal Edict 14; it being driven mainly by the changes Atlia was going through at that time. Said isolationist policy limited both the contact with other nations, as well as the application to micronational organizations. The diplomatic isolation saw the beginning of its end with the entry of the Kingdom of Atlia into the Solidarity Front on 01/OCT/21, since then, Atlia has become more involved with the members of the Front.

On 03/JAN/21, the Solidarietas Treaty was written by the Solidarity Front so that any member was free to join and mutually recognize the members of the Front who were also signatories of it. It was not until 12/JAN/22 that said treaty passed through the Council of Representatives, being accepted by a majority today (17/JAN/22). Thus, Atlia now recognizes nations such as the Republic of The Sohnland, the People's Republic of Baliga, and the Grand Order of the RD, to name a few.

On 28/DEC/21, the Parliamentary Monarchy of Duckionary contacted the Kingdom of Atlia to establish formal diplomatic relations. After a period of revision of the treaty written by Atlia, it finally passed through the Council of Representatives yesterday, and after being accepted today, it was sent to the representative of Duckionary for ratification.

As of today, Atlia is in the process of establishing a mutual recognition treaty with the Republic of Woultenland.

Additionally, diplomatic dialogues have been initiated with nations such as the Kingdom of Eskeria (until recently the Grand Duchy of Eskeria) and the Bask Republic, with the former's dialogue being paused indefinitely due to recent political instabilities.

Future events

Talks with the Province of De Las Mitras have begun to sign the Act of Union, as well as with the Mandamento (formerly Territory) of the Duchess Maria Square. There are no specific details yet about the elections for Prime Minister or the draw for the selection of Representatives, although they'll most probably be announced soon, to being held by the end of the month.
