Nova Atlium - 25/AUG/2025

Following the contact between the Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Service Ministry of Woultenland on 24/JUL/2025, which arose from the Imperial Ministry's Communiqué published on 29/JUN/2025, both nations decided to cooperate again in the development of culture and education between their nations.

BACKGROUND

On 12/AUG/2022, Atlia and Woultenland signed the Convenio de Cooperación Cultural y Educativa entre la República de Woultenland y el Reino de Atlia (Cultural and Educational Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Woultenland and the Kingdom of Atlia in English), the first effort by both nations to develop their bilateral relationship beyond the Mutual Recognition Treaty signed by both parties in February 2022. After a reduction in mutual dialogue between Atlium and Frey City since the signing of the Agreement, it was not until the reactivation of Woultenland's foreign activity and the recent efforts of the Atlian Imperial Ministry of Foreign Affairs that dialogue for mutual cooperation was resumed, beginning with the formalization of the Cultural and Educational Cooperation Commission, originally detailed in the cultural agreement signed between Atlia and Woultenland in 2022.

THE COMMISSION FOR CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION

In the Convenio de Cooperación Cultural y Educativa entre la República de Woultenland y el Reino de Atlia, the Atlia-Woultenland Commission for Cultural and Educational Cooperation will be "coordinated by the respective Foreign Ministries and composed of representatives of both States."

Among its functions are:

  • Develop biennial or triennial "Cultural and Educational Cooperation Programs" within the framework of the Convention, which will specify the modalities of cooperation, work schedules, and financial obligations of each Party, as well as define the priority areas of said programs for cultural and educational cooperation between the Parties;

  • Analyze, review, and evaluate the implementation of said programs;

  • Monitor the proper functioning of this Convention;

  • Make any recommendations it deems relevant to the Parties.

Atlia will propose a commission logo to representatives of Woultenland in the coming days, and they will agree on the first Cultural and Educational Cooperation Program between the two nations before the end of the year, with its first activities expected to begin in September.
