Nisea joins the Atlian Empire as a Free Associated State

"Our diplomatic relations over the past few months have been highly fruitful for both entities, and I must refer to the facts, since not only has our communication been constant and open, but it has also fostered the development of both political and cultural thinking on both our societies, who now share a common monarch and not just the territory of which we are an enclave [Mexico]" - Prime Minister Augusto Izard, in the oficial request of the association of Nisea to the Empire of Atlia as a Free Associated State.

After months of a close bilateral relationship, the Reformed Hispanic Autonomous Community of Nisea has sought to become even closer to the Empire, requesting to become a Free Associated State of Atlia. After the signing of the Act of Association to the Empire of Atlia of the Reformed Hispanic Autonomous Community of Nisea; the Atlian Empire welcomes the young nation to the Atlian commonwealth.

Background

On 4/NOV/2022, Prince-Regent Luis Marcel was elected as Duke of Nisea; Since then, the bilateral relations between Atlia and Nisea have been growing closer, finding as points of common cooperation that both parties have a similar diplomatic policy and a vision of micronational political theory.

On 16/MAR/2023, the Nisea Prime Minister, Augusto Izard, announced the suspension of the activities of the Nisean Parliament, and conferred all its legislative duties on the Prime Minister's office; as well as assuming the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, in order to expedite processes of internal and external matters of the young nation.

The application

On 29/MAR/2023, Mr. Augusto Izard, from his position as Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered to the Prince-Regent the formal request to convert the Reformed Hispanic Autonomous Community of Nisea into a Free Associated State of the Empire of Atlia, according to Article 37 of the Constitution of the Atlian Empire.

On 31/MAR/2023, the Imperial Senate voted on the matter, approving Nisea's request unanimously. Mr. Izard was contacted with the news and the draft of the Act of Association to the Empire of Atlia of the Reformed Hispanic Autonomous Community of Nisea, which was ratified by both parties on 01/APR/2023.

Prince Luis Marcel said on his a statement on the subject:
