More information on The Longhorn International Summit

Following the announcement of the Longhorn International Summit by the People's Republic of Adonia, the Adonian socialist nation was quick to reveal more information regarding this event.

The Longhorn International Summit (CIL) is a virtual summit that is intended to provide micronations assisting the opportunity to interact with each other, discuss issues in the micronational community, and to "give Adonia a chance to get its name out there"; giving Adonia chance to interact with other micronations, and open opportunities to all of the summit's attendees. At the end of yesterday (12 / SEP / 2021), a vote took place on the Discord server of the Longhorn International Summit, in which it was voted for the date on which it would take place, at an agreed time of 7:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time). The winning date was Tuesday, 14 September of this year. Adonia then announced it on their Twitter account, in addition to mentioning that today was the last day to register.

As of today in the morning, it has been confirmed:

• 4 Press members

• 2 Spectators
  

On 8 / SEP / 2021, Adonia published the first details about the summit to be held in Longhorn, through their Twitter account.

This same information, also present on its official Discord server, includes a PDF in which they further details essential information for the international summit.

This virtual meeting will take place through a call on the official Discord server of the summit, which you can find it here. The Premier of Adonia will attend with his camera on, further explains in the document that turning on the camera at the meeting is not mandatory. Likewise, you can attend without turning on the microphone.

The Summit has five aims, which are:

• Promote friendship and professionalism among micronationalists.

• Promote a space for free thought and a free space for the voice of other micronationalists.

• Give ordinary micronationalists the opportunity to interact with the community and make their micronation public.

• Establish micronational treaties and agreements

• Trying to improve or at least deal with the harsh environment that is the micronational community.

These goals that were chosen by Premier "Valeriy" "are hoped to bring members of the

community together and give Adonia and the rest of the summit attendees a chance to finally work in a welcoming, and friendly environment, regardless of ideology, place of origin, etc".

Likewise, it details some very basic rules, which are the following:

• All Attendees must maintain a professional manner in the discord server, and during the summit. (Breaking this rule may result in your micronations removal from the summit).

• All Attendees, even if just spectators, must join the discord server and fill out the google form posted under the ‘Applications Chat’. That is the only way you can be verified.

• Acts of Discrimination or hatred in the discord server and during the summit are strictly prohibited (Breaking this rule may result in your micronations removal from the summit).

• It is asked that attendees do not argue with staff regarding their choices. You are representing your micronation, and any decision you make has the chance to ruin or improve your reputation and ability to interact in the community.

The document ends with a brief preview of what could be discussed (introductions, micronational issues, diplomacy, etcetera) which was reiterated on the Discord server this morning (13 / SEP / 2021), with the notice from Premier "Valreiy" that attendees will be reminded 15 minutes before the start of the summit via Discord.
